Four Teams Secure Their Places
The FIFA World Cup 2026 has entered its fourth week, and the race for the trophy is becoming more exciting. After starting with 48 teams, fewer than half remain in the competition. Four teams have already booked their places in the quarterfinals. Morocco, France, Norway, and England all advanced after winning their round-of-16 matches. While some teams enjoyed comfortable victories, others faced late challenges before securing their place in the next round.
Remaining Round-of-16 Matches
Four more matches will decide the final quarterfinal spots. Portugal will face Spain in Dallas, followed by the United States against Belgium in Seattle. On the next day, Switzerland will play Colombia in Vancouver, while Argentina will take on Egypt in Atlanta. The winners of these matches will complete the last eight teams competing for the World Cup title.
Quarterfinal Schedule
The quarterfinals begin on July 9, with France taking on Morocco in Boston. The winner of the USA versus Belgium match will face either Portugal or Spain in Los Angeles on July 10. Norway will meet England in Miami on July 11. The final quarterfinal will feature either Argentina or Egypt against Switzerland or Colombia in Kansas City on July 12.
